The Jewish Federation of Delaware and the Jewish Fund for the Future provides scholarship funding to high school students, undergraduate and graduate students. Guidelines vary, but scholarships are available for students from Delaware or studying in Delaware. Please download guidlines below.
Teen Israel Experience Scholarship
The Jewish Federation of Delaware makes grants to high school students between 15-17 years of age. These grants are for structured programs in Israel that are sponsored by national or international Jewish youth organizations and are approved by the Federation (examples: BBYO, NFTY, etc.). All applicants must still be in high school when they return from Israel, preferences will be given to applicants who have not participated in prior Israel programs and applicants must commit themselves to attend briefings before and after their Israel experience. Funds for these grants have been made available through an allocation from the Federation Annual Campaign. Applicants commit themselves to community service when they return. Applicants’ parents must contribute to the Annual Campaign of the Jewish Federation of Delaware. Spend the summer in Israel
The Jewish Federation of Delaware announces Kefiada 2008. Young adults ages 19-25 are encouraged to apply for this exciting program to work as a counselor in Israel. Partnership 2000 and the Jewish Federation of Delaware subsidize this summer program in Israel. Applicants must be from Delaware. Counselors work in our sister community of Arad/Tamar in an English speaking day camp. The program begins in Israel in late June and ends in late July. The Jewish Federation of Delaware and the Partnership 2000 allocation will cover all expenses in Israel – ground transportation, orientation, room and board, touring and a portion of the airfare. Joseph and Marion Greenbaum Scholarship Fund
The Joseph and Marion Greenbaum Scholarship Fund, a permanent restricted endowment of the Jewish Fund for the Future, which provides scholarships for undergraduate students to attend accredited colleges or universities in Israel. Jerusalem Study Fund
The Jerusalem Study Fund is a permanent restricted endowment of the Jewish Fund for the Future and supports students 16 or older (with preference to applicants aged sixteen through twenty-four) in their study at educational institutions located in Jerusalem, or its proximate suburbs in Israel. The recipients (or family) must be: full or associate members of a synagogue in Delaware. The Fund supports payment toward international transportation, tuition, books, room and board to defray expenses which otherwise would be paid by recipients.
