RENEW your Annual Campaign gift or MAKE A NEW GIFT of $100 or more by December 31, 2020, and your SUPPLEMENTAL gift to the Human Services Relief  Matching Fund will be matched by 50%*!

The good you do just got better.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors like you, Jewish Federations across the continent have been among the first to respond to the COVID-19 crisis.

But right now, due to the current economic crisis, an estimated 1.2 million Jewish adults across the United States, and hundreds of individuals in our community will soon be unable to afford housing,1 and millions more will be unable to feed their families – unless we find the resources to fill the gap to support unmet needs. Jewish Federation of Delaware, in partnership with The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), is launching the Human Services Relief Matching Fund. This fund, which was made possible through the generosity of seven national foundations, offers an $18 million match to the Federation system, creating a $54 million increase for our frontline service agencies and programs serving Jewish community members.

With the matching fund incentive available to us, we could raise $180,000 right here in Delaware and the Brandywine Valley to increase our relief efforts. We have the opportunity to receive up to $60,000 in matching funds!

Just imagine what this 50% match means in human terms. If $100,000 can enable 20 families to keep a roof over their heads, then the 50% match to your gift will enable an additional 10 families to keep their homes. If your gift would normally feed 100 children for a month, then it will now feed 150 children.

100% of the funds raised will be dispersed to our local beneficiary agencies to support programs that serve primarily Jewish community members, providing: emergency financial aid, food assistance, trauma support, mental and physical health and safety, education and professional training services, as well as services and resources as a result of being laid off or furloughed*.

*Donors will have the ability to choose where in the Jewish community they wish their gift to be utilized when making a donation.
*Up to $5,000 PER DONOR PER ORGANIZATION ($30,000 Total) will be matched!
